Sorry for the delay in responding. Only having one editable makes things tricky. Yes you can drop the Wordpress Loop code into the main content Editable region.
However you need to be able to modify all the head content of the DW Template to call different scripts, style sheets etc. You also don't have a place to drop in a widgetized sidebar.
Take a look at this other DW Template conversion tutorial I wrote.
If you are still having issues getting done what you want drop me a line and I'll see if there is anything I can do for you.

Hi Carl,

Sorry for the delay in responding. If it's done correctly then the blog theme should look identical to your website. In my first tutorial I stated that I like to create an index.html file out of the template which I can then use the Dreamweaver Preview option (file > preview in browser > pick your browser) or simply hit F12.
Right now the best live example I have would be http://www.aorafting.com and http://blog.aorafting.com. In this case I did not follow my tutorials exactly. I started with the Genesis Theme and merged in the header, navigation & textual styles etc.
Hope this helps.

Hi Liz,

If it’s done correctly then the blog theme should look identical to your website. In my <a

This would help WP noobsters like myself better understand how the two will integrate visually and would influence the initial build design. Thanks so much!

Would you be able to post links to sample sites that show what the final result might look like?
