When I went to activate the plugin I received the following message…

The plugin post-plugin-library/post-plugin-library.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

Odd is the statement because I wasn’t installing the stated post plugin library. Considering the message displayed wouldn’t it be easy enough and more usable to provide a link to the Post Plugin Library, because that is what the system is looking for?

I would even take it a step further and clean up the statement itself. Display the message as… “The Similar Posts plugin requires the Post Plugin Library which does not appear to be installed. Please download and install the plugin to continue.”

Is this message being generated by WordPress Core or the Similar Posts Plugin? I’m not sure… regardless of where the message is coming from, the point is there are still many small ways to make Wordress even more usable.

Do you agree? Disagree? What other cases like this have you seen that you think could be made more usable? Post your comments here.
